As in previous years the Sockeye Run will be held in the park at the Steveston Community Centre on Moncton Street in the historic Village of Steveston. With the co-operation of the Steveston Community Centre and the City of Richmond the available grassed area has been increased. We now have room for over 300 cars!. While the grassed areas of the park provides a spectacular venue, we have secured a large blacktopped area as an alternative, if the weather does not cooperate.  Our many years of car show experience, attractive venue and reputation of attracting top quality cars gives our show the potential of being the significant car show event of the year.

Over the years the "Sockeye Run" has become an important fund raiser for the Richmond Lions Club. One hundred percent of net proceeds from the Sockeye Run Car Show and Shine have gone into the community, to help those less fortunate. Proceeds from the Show will go to worthwhile projects. We are well aware that charity money is difficult to raise. More and more groups are soliciting for fewer and fewer dollars. Despite this fact many more people still require the assistance from organizations such as the Richmond Lions Club.

Our goal is to provide our sponsors with a real benefit. This benefit comes from not only knowing that your sponsorship reduces our risk and cost of putting on such a large event but, as well, benefits to you will come from our plan to tell the community about your goodwill.

We hope to see you at the Richmond Lions Club Annual "Sockeye Run" Car Show & Shine. The show is held every year on the last Sunday in May.
